Strategic management on innovation competency, intellectual property management
The term refers to business management The crucial points regarding "strategic management on innovation competency" (one style of intellectual property management) are (1) directing R&D or business projects in complicated innovation process utilizing intellectual properties, and (2) organization learning.. In this management, system, the intellectual property approach to the learning organization mechanism is included in a non-linear process of innovation, where solutions do not necessarily lead from the problem setting in a straight line.
This management assumes two points: 1) Respect for the potential of innovators; and 2) encouraging companies to achieve sustained growth and development by embracing the diversity and difference of peoplefs ideas and ways of thinking. This management pattern was originally observed in the 1990s, when companies began to suffer from a lack of novel ideas, redundancy in research and development projects, protracted launching of new products, and so on.
My research into strategic management on innovation competency is currently focussed on intellectual property management in matured transnational corporations.
